Hello and welcome one and all to the home of Runescape's first and oldest clan; The Sabres. The Sabres as a clan pre-dates Runescape, having been founded on a game formerly run by Jagex, Cyberwars. Having made the switch to Runescape on it's release day, The Sabres have been an ever present part of the clan community. Some will dispute this, but this clan has many active members who all have served 5 years or more solely to this clan, so we have yet to see any evidence of a so called "death".
Originally open only to those willing to start over and make a Sabre character, these days the clan is open to anybody who meets the requirements. Though some say this has made us lose our individuality, the Sabres as a clan still upholds it's original stance, as the founders of anti-rpking. What's that you say? Anti-pking? No! Anti-Rpking. There's a world of difference. Anti-pking would indicate that a clan does not pk, but this certainly isn't the case with us. Contrary to the beliefs of ignorant people, the Sabres do in fact pk, though we do have some rules in that department.
The Sabres as a clan has a long standing tight knit community, a community that anybody wishing to join has to be prepared to become a part of. We don't want a bunch of solo training loners in our clan. We're a clan that's open to anybody who meet the requirements, as I previously mentioned, therefore we have people of all ages in our clan, as a result, our rules are very strictly enforced. The rules apply to everyone, whether you're ten, or fifty.
Led by Sabre Chilli, the Sabres are looking to recruit people who want to be a part of something and want to make things happen, as opposed to those who just want to sit there and let things happen. We hold many events and regular pk trips, or raids as some like to call them, as well as having a number of out of game activities like trivia, sig making contests, story writing, etc. As a clan we like to encourage people to express themselves in all number of ways, and showing off any talents they may have is one of them.
I'd love to go into the clan history here, but I've been told to keep this brief, you can always read the history for yourself. If you wish to join, and you meet our requirements, drop by the forums and fill in the form, we'll welcome you with open arms and do anything within our power to make your application swift and successful. Thanks for your time.
