Our Code of Conduct!
By joining the Sabres you recognize and accept that you will follow the rules and guidelines set forth in the Clan by the elites, commanders and leadership. Violating or willful disobedience of the rules may be met with warnings/strikes or removal from the Clan. The Sabres are, first and foremost, a group of friends. We have a great deal of fun playing, and, bar the odd tiff, we all get on remarkably well. This is very important to everyone in the clan, and is not something we ever want to compromise on. We see ourselves as a 'family' Clan; swearing, adult, or offensive chat will not be accepted in the clan chatroom, in-game, or anywhere minors may be exposed to such language and may overhear it. In conversation with people that you know, you may act in any way you see fit to represent yourself, but while exposed to others you represent the Sabres, and therefore our ideals.
Membership to the Sabres is open to players of most levels and age groups; we have players in the clan aged from 10 through to 40+. There will be no discrimination in the Sabres based on age, only on maturity. Do remember though, that we treat each other as adults, and as such clan chat can potentially be mature in nature, though always within reason. As mentioned earlier, age on the internet is irrelevant; act mature, and you can be as young, or as old, as you wish to be. Being in the sabre clan means you have to quit any other clans as we require you to show dedication.
We have been together since the first days of RuneScape. The Sabres are well respected among players of all sorts, and in turn we respect them. Actions that bring disrepute upon the Clan will not be tolerated; no matter how good a player you are, how hard you worked for your levels, or how many famous people you know.
The Sabres are against Random Player Killing in any form, however, this does not mean you can't attack any other players in the Wilderness. If you suspect a player may be in the wilderness to RPK, or just to fight, then you may attack and kill them if possible. It is strictly forbidden to kill those in the wilderness to train, explore, or in general, not to fight.
Although we accept anyone above the new requirements into the clan, we do ask that these members act the same as anyone with sabre in their name would do and remain loyal. These members without sabre in their name will in most aspects of clan life be treated equally to Sabre Characters, however the extra dedication in making a new character may be a deciding factor in promotions.
Treat people the way you would like to be treated and you will find everyone else in the clan treats you the same way, and leveling becomes very much more enjoyable. It is also expected that you will contribute to clan funds whenever possible, for us to further our trades department, help us buy a player house in the future, invest in a rune smith, etc. The Sabres are not a group of solo power-levelers who need a few friends to chat to while they level...
Open hostility or severe disagreement between or among Sabres will not be accepted in the public forum. There is to be no arguing in public over any issue. Take it to an ELITE. If the situation escalates, take it to the Clan leader, if you are an officer, take it to the clan leader.
As a Sabre, you adhere to these guidelines set forth and promise to be a true, and loyal Sabre.
This set of Guidelines can and will be updated in times that require so.
